Oldham dog attack: Boy, 12, left with horror injuries after being mauled by hound as woman, 43, charged | The Sun

A WOMAN has been charged after a 12-year-old was left seriously injured following a dog attack in Oldham yesterday.

Paula Jenkins, 43, is accused of two counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury, Greater Manchester Police said.

Mohid Gardazee, 12, is currently being treated at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with his family at his side.

Cops said a 31-year-old woman was also attacked but her injuries were not thought to be as serious.

Armed police were called to the scene of the incident on Villa Road and the boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A dog was “safely detained” after the incident.

Ms Jenkins, of Meldrum Street, Oldham, has been bailed and will appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on November 2.

A statement issued by GMP this morning said: "Woman charged in connection with dog attack.

“Paula Jenkins (15/05/1980) of Meldrum Street has been charged with two counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury."

“She has been bailed to appear at Tameside Magistrates on November 2.
