Tipping Point viewers hit out at the ITV show's host, Ben Shephard on Thursday (September 21) after he offered an incorrect explanation after a contestant answered a question wrongly.
Trailing fellow contestant Rose by a huge margin, Robert was asked by the presenter: "The Togo-Atakora Mountains are located on which continent?" After a long pause, Robert pondered: "Australasia?"
"You're going with that – you could have passed it over to Rose," said Ben, before asking Rose how she would have answered. After Rose declared that she would have gone with the correct answer, "Africa", Ben appeared to get confused with his geography.

"It's Africa," he said. "Australasia is two continents – Australia and then Asia – you mixed them both over." Australasia is in fact a region within the continent of Oceania, and comprises Australia, New Zealand and a host of neighbouring islands in the Pacific Ocean.
No area of the region is in Asia, despite the last four letters of its name. Viewers took to X, formerly Twitter, during the broadcast in a bid to set the record straight, meanwhile. However, the trivia proved somewhat tricky for them too.
"Australasia is a continent? #TippingPoint," one user attempted to reassure themselves. Another rather abruptly added: "It's not two continents, either, Ben, you plank #TippingPoint And a third said: "That well known continent of AUSTRALASIA?!! #TippingPoint."
After finishing with £600 winnings, Robert was duly dispatched by Rose, who netted a cool £2,700 going into the final round. And continuing to excel she closed the show by landing the jackpot counter to scoop the coveted £10,000 jackpot leading jubilant scenes in the studio.

"That is a lot of money!" she said, overjoyed. "I can go on holiday! I can't believe it – I honestly can't believe it."
Asked what she would spend her winnings on, Rose said: "A first family holiday and maybe doing up the garden a little bit."
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 4pm
