This Morning: Republica’s Saffron appears on the show
This Morning fans were left concerned for Republica lead singer Saffron during her TV appearance where she discussed her new debut single with the band.
The rock group, made up of Saffron, Tim Dorney, and Johnny Male, formed in 1994 and went on to have a number of smash hits including Ready to Go, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and From Rush Hour With Love.
During their time apart after splitting, Saffron took time away from the rock world and decided to train as a nurse so she could look after her mum who was dying of cancer.
Saffron joined This Morning presenters Craige Doyle and Cat Deeley where she discussed her time looking after her mum and memories of when she was little.
She recalled: “This lady from the hospital turned up, Ruth, and my mum had called them and she called them to ask if she would take me, for a break.

“I haven’t slept and I need to eat properly’ and I am like, what? and she goes ‘She is not listening to me, she is looking after me all the time and she is really good can you take her’.
“So she phoned the hospital to take me, obviously I didn’t go but that was my mother.”
Viewers of the show and fans of Saffron were concerned about her appearance on the show and took to their X accounts, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts.
@Mofoman360 penned: “#ThisMorning I’ve gotta say I was slightly concerned about Saffron from Republica just now I hope she is ok or was she very nervous.”
