Strictly Anton Du Beke interviewed by Jannette Manarai
Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke has given his thoughts on this year’s contestants, saying they are fascinating but admits that “no one is safe” at this stage of the competition.
He made the revelation while speaking to Janette Manara on Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two on Thursday.
“This year is really, really fascinating and what I’m really loving is the fact that every week somebody else wins,” he enthused. “It is great.”
“And then also this week, and Adam won’t be delighted about me reminding him, but it was the first time this weekend we had somebody right in the middle of the leaderboard in the dance-off. The first time this weekend.”
“So now it’s getting really volatile. No one is safe. Everybody’s got to be on their game and it is so exciting!” he exclaimed.

Anton was referring to the fact that Adam Thomas survived the dance-off against Zara McDermott last weekend, despite having scored 32 points for his American Smooth to Magic Moments by Perry Como for Halloween week.
The Waterloo Road star found himself in the bottom two on Sunday night’s results show, but managed to get through to next week.
In the end, judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and head judge Shirley Ballas all opted to save Adam over Zara McDermott and her partner Graziano Di Prima.
Following the dance-off he appeared downcast the next day in an Instagram post.

The dad-of-two shared a mirror selfie to his one million followers, and he looked a far cry from his usual happy and jovial self.
“No dancing today,” he wrote, along with a disappointed face emoji.
Having struggled with health issues last week fans weren’t sure if he would even appear on Saturday night’s show after he pulled out of It Takes Two on Friday night.
However, Adam’s dance partner Luba Mushtuk explained his absence to hosts Janette Manrara and Fleur East.
She explained: “He is resting now, he didn’t feel very well but he is resting and getting ready for tomorrow night, everything will be fine.”
It Takes Two airs on weekdays at 6.30pm on BBC Two.
