Strictly Come Dancing viewers were left "broken' and "in tears" after the professional dancers took to the dance floor to kick off Movie Qeek.
Arguably everyone's favourite week of the dance competition, the show was kicked off by an emotional performance to celebrate 100 years of Disney. It opened up with the Beauty And The Beast theme tune, with the dancers slowly dancing before going into the quickstep.
The music then switched to The Little Mermaid's A Whole New World, with Dianne Buswell taking centre stage, before transitioning to Aladdin's A Whole New World.
The performance went on for approximately seven minutes and left many viewers teary-eyed and emotional. Many fans also thought it was a "magical" tribute to celebrate 100 years of Disney.
One viewer took to X, formally known as Twitter ad said: "Oh #Strictly pros doing a #Disney dance… wow. Just. Wow. Broke me", while another said: "Ok well that opening dance has bought tears to my eyes the strictly professionals really are fantastic #Strictly #StrictlyMovieWeek #Strictly2023 #Disney100".
A third added: "WOW that opening number was truly magical and a wonderful celebration of 100 years of Disney. There’s such beauty in simplicity and that routine was evidence of that. Beautiful orchestrations and stunning choreography. It actually brought tears to my eyes", while another added: "What a spectacular opening Number celebrating 100 years of Disney not going to lie did get a bit emotional #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing".
During the iconic movie week, Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin are hoping to top the leaderboard once again with their Viennese Waltz to There Are Worse Things I Could Do from Grease.
It is a jam-packed night on the dance floor with Jody Cundy and Jowita Przystal performing an American Smooth to the song Married Life from Up, and Zara McDermott and Graziano Di Prima taking on a Paso Doble to The Puss Suite from another animated kids' classic – Puss In Boots.
Elsewhere in the competition Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola are performing to Waiting On A Miracle from Encanto, while Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer are dancing the first Couple's Choice of the series to Men In Black from the film of the same name.
Channel 4 News host Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Lauren Oakley are taking on a Charleston to Money Money from Cabaret, while Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe are performing a Waltz to Moon River.
Also performing the Charleston will be Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu, taking on Who’s Got The Pain? from Damn Yankees, and Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell, will perform a Samba to Young Hearts Run Free from Romeo And Juliet.
Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice are taking on a Rumba to Out Of Reach, while Adam Thomas and Luba Mushtuk are dancing the Jive to Take On Me from The Super Mario Bros Movie.
Nigel Harman and Katya Jones were the first contestants to take the dance floor and did the Jive to the Batman Theme from Batman.
