Strictly Sneak peak at who is warming up for Autumn show

Strictly Come Dancing’s official Instagram has dropped a first-look video of the cast taking part in this year’s series.

In a short clip, the 15 celebrities competing show off their signature dance moves, which range from an impressive worm, Charleston and robot.

Love Island star Zara McDermott had already got the Strictly glam memo as she wore a sparkly red dress before giving fans a glimpse at what to expect.

She said: “When I dance, I look like one of those inflatable mascots outside a car dealership.”

Doing her best impression by shimmying up and down while making the noises, she added “I’ve got very noodly arms you see.”

Looking just as glam, Annabel Croft confessed her signature move was taught to her by BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent.

Demonstrating the floss, the presenter gave it her all in a long beige silk ballgown after fans got to see Angela Scanlon twerk in a lime green suit.

Comedian Eddie Kadi paid tribute to his Congolese heritage by doing the Ndombolo.

He said: “It’s all about the hips and your thrusting”

Krishnan Guru-Murthy debuted a hip wiggle as Amanda Abbington took off her shoes to jump around.

Nigel Harman and Les Dennis showed off their impressive footwork whilst Bobby Brazier took to the floor to do the caterpillar.

Nikita Kanda and Jody Cundy had similar styles with some club finger pointing whilst Ellie Leach had to change her move after Bobby had taken the same one.

Showing fans the ‘Ellie Leach Lean’, the former Coronation Street star demonstrated some popping and locking.

Similarly, Adam Thomas showed off the robot with Layton Williams doing a shimmy and pop.

It wasn’t long before Strictly fans flooded the comment section excited at seeing the stars make their official debut.

Zfarish commented: “This is gonna be a good season x.”

With Boycejaney adding: “Already in love with this year’s “students”!

As a lifelong fan of “Come Dancing”, Angela has to be a favourite, but they are all so lovely and promising I may have several “ones to watch” and cheer for if I’m honest.”

Strictly Come Dancing will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in autumn 2023 with further details about the air date and start time to be confirmed.
