Nigel Farage reveals real reason he stripped off in jungle show and ignored I'm A Celeb bosses' strict rule | The Sun

I'M A Celeb star Nigel Farage has revealed why he stripped off on the show – despite bosses strict rule.

The politician, 59, shocked viewers when he repeatedly got naked to have a wash in the jungle.

His fellow campmate Frankie Dettori admitted that Nigel had broken a major rule when it came to showering, saying: "We were told to keep our swimmers on!”

Nigel has now spilled the beans on why he was keen bare all while in camp.

"I was told that I shouldn't be naked. And yet the doctor said, personal hygiene really matters in the jungle, checking yourself for horrors like leeches matter," Nigel told GB News.

“You're not going to do that unless you are naked so I ignored what ITV said. And I continued to shower naked every day."

He added: “I'm delighted with the way that it turned out, thrilled that I got through to the last round, and I was the outsider.

"The other 11 people that went in there were either professional sportsmen or people from pop music or popular culture."

Jockey Frankie told The Sun that none of the celebs back in camp had any clue about Nigel's au naturel moment.

Frankie explained: "The shower is miles away from the camp so we don't know what's going on. I am not going to go and spy on Nigel's butt!"

But This Morning's Josie Gibson wasn't as lucky and caught an eyeful.

She was unfortunate enough to walk past the waterfall shower as Nigel was washing his bits and pieces.

She gasped: "Frickin' hell!"

In the Bush Telegraph, she laughed: "Fair play to him, he just gets on in there and at least he's clean."
