Furious iCarly fans are demanding Paramount+ give the show a final episode after it was unceremoniously canceled after three seasons.
It was confirmed on Wednesday that the TV series – a rebooted version of the Nickelodeon kids’ show that ran from 2008 to 2012 – has ended with little to no ceremony.
What’s more is the show will be ending on a major cliffhanger, with a mystery that’s been hanging over the story since iCarly first launched seconds away from being solved.
In a statement released by Paramount+ said: “The series had a great three-season run and delivered on what fans really wanted to see with Carly and Freddie finally getting together.
“We want to thank the entire cast, the writers, directors and producers along with the whole crew for their dedication, creativity and talent.”

However, fans – particularly those who have been lifetime dedicated to the series – don’t think that’s good enough, and think they deserve a proper send-off.
In the season three finale, iHave a Proposal, which aired on July 27, saw Carly (played by Miranda Cosgrove) and longtime will they/won’t they partner Freddie (Nathan Kress) look set to get married.
Carly is left upset though by the continued absence of her mother – who has never been shown on the show in any of its iterations.
Having been raised by her father alongside her brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor), Carly has a fear of the commitment marriage has.
But in the final moments of season three, Carly turns around and, in a close-up of her face, she looks shocked as she mumbles: “Mom?”

The episode then ended, all but confirming the mystery to finally be solved in season four, with longtime fan favorite couple ‘Creddie’ finally tying the knot.
So to axe the show completely before more than 15 years of patience could pay off left fans demanding answers.
“Why they do them like that? Looking like they want to destroy the good image we have of the show…it wasn’t that bad to be ended like that,” wrote one fan.
“They need to Wrap it up, this is not 2007 anymore.”
“The iCarly finale has me so sad actually. I guess one plus is that the fandom can create their own endings through fan content but I think we can all agree there’s still that empty space of not having closure. This is cruel…,” added another.
“i just don’t get it, like at least make a hour-long special for a finale?” argued a third. “icarly is such an iconic brand for nickolodeon/paramount, why would they want to end it with such an obnoxious cliffhanger?”
