Jane Mcdonald Talks About Her Great Nephew Named After Her Late Husband
Jane McDonald has spoken out about her love for her great nephew who is named after her fiancé, who died two and a half years ago.
“Little Eddie. Oh, I just love him! I could eat him he’s that gorgeous,” she raved during an appearance on Loose Women.
“He’s just beautiful. That’s why I can’t travel so much now. I need to see a bit more of that face,” she confessed as they showed adorable pictures of the tit on screen.
Eddie is the son of Jane’s niece Katie and was born late last year. His moniker comes from Jane’s late fiancée of thirteen years, Eddie Rothe.
The star couldn’t stop beaming as she told the panel, “And he’s gorgeous and he brings so much joy not just to my life but to all the family’s life,” she said joking that she hopes they go on to have six [children].

Eddie, who was a member of the band The Searchers, and Jane originally met as teenagers in the 1980s but went their separate ways until they reunited in 2008.
He proposed to Jane on 24 December that year and they remained engaged for thirteen years until his sad death from lung cancer on March 26, 2021.
Eight months after his death Jane appeared on Loose Women and revealed that she had been on a “dark path”.
She admitted that she had been left devastated over his death which ended their happy relationship.
“Thirteen years of absolute bliss and that’s how I’m getting through it,” she admitted on the ITV show.

“I’m not thinking of the last six months because it was horrendous. I’m thinking how grateful I’ve been for such a wonderful…” she continued while suppressing a sob.
“I’m not good at being sad. I’m not good at this. I’m not good at crying.
“So every day when I wake up and I get that thud like someone’s just hit me…
“I think, ‘Are you going to go down the dark path, where you’ve been for the last year?
“Or are you going to be grateful for everything you’ve got in your life and grateful for the time you had with him and remember him how I want to remember him?”
