Emmerdale's Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) bravely opens up about her horrendous rape ordeal next week.
Fans of the ITV soap have watched the Home Farm cleaner struggles to come to terms with the fact her childhood friend Craig Reed (Ben Addis) sexually assaulted her in recent weeks. She decided to keep it from her husband Sam Dingle (James Hotton) and the rest of her family.
However, she talks to boss Kim Tate (Claire King) about what Craig did to her in upcoming scenes. Reconnecting with Craig at his offices, Samson Dingle (Sam Hall) asks questions about why he was let go from his work experience.

Craig uses this opportunity to manipulate the story to suit his fabricated version of events. Soon leading Samson to believe something happened between him and Lydia. Craig is grimly satisfied to have manipulated Samson as he welcomes him back to his work experience.
Speaking too loudly and too openly on the phone to Cathy Hope (Gabrielle Downing) outside Dingles, Samson is overheard by Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), and she confronts him about what’s going on with Lydia and Craig. Believing from Samson that Lydia and Craig may have been having an affair, Mandy’s determined to find out the truth.
Lydia’s horrified when upset Mandy confronts her and asks if she’s been having an affair with Craig. Angry and upset, Lydia rushes from Dingles in a panic after shutting down worried but unconvinced Mandy’s accusations.
Later, Kim is alarmed to see Lydia sobbing. Unable to withstand Craig’s lies any longer she admits what happened. Realising her life has changed forever, Lydia’s heartbroken when Kim eventually tells her she’ll need to tell Sam about the rape. But will Kim's pleading get through to Lydia?
Elsewhere, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) is struggling on the anniversary of Grace’s death and is frustrated when her daughter insists on going to the swings instead of visiting Grace’s grave. As Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) reflects on how life has moved on at the graveyard, Chas is quietly in torment, feeling stuck in the past. Chas’ offer of a drink with Paddy is rejected as he goes for lunch with Mandy, and she is left feeling completely alone.
Also, an honest and emotional Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) gives his father the eulogy he deserves as conflicted Claudette Anderson (Flo Wilson) watches on. Will she be able to forgive her son?
Meanwhile despite a phase of their mysterious plan being completed, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) and Caleb Milligan (Will Ash) remain on edge. The brothers head into the abandoned Wylie’s Farm on mysterious business. Jai makes a confession.
