EastEnders viewers gasp as monster returns to Albert Square

Eastenders: Freddie confronts his former teacher

EastEnders viewers have been left shocked after Theo Hawthorne (William Ellis) made a surprise return to Walford leaving Stacey Slater horrified.

Albert Square is currently overflowing with baddies as the mysterious Christmas Day murder edges nearer and one man is certain to be killed in The Queen Vic.

Theo has been terrorising Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) for months as he is convinced the two are supposed to be together and is convinced they are “in love”.

The stalker has been absent from Albert Square since October, but now he’s back.

During Thursday’s episode (November 23) of the long-running BBC One soap, Stacey had been waiting to hear what happened at Theo’s latest court case, only to receive a call telling her it had been adjourned.

As she walked through the market talking on her mobile, Theo suddenly appeared behind her and said creepily: “Hello Stacey.”

Turning around, Stacey looked horrified as she took a second to get her voice back and then told him: “You can’t be here.”

“Just give me 30 minutes to talk”, Theo pleaded, “It’ll be worth your while.”

Theo tried to rape Stacey last month before Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) hit him over the head with an iron.

Stacey managed to get a protection order against Theo but it now appears his court case has been pushed back and he’s wasted no time in returning to Walford.
