The course of love is never a smooth one and in the latest Coronation Street spoilers Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) is about to commit the ultimate sin as he goes behind his son's back with a secret stash of money.
In tonight's instalment, Wednesday 27 September, Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) and Courtney Vance (Stephanie Davis) announce that they're moving into Shelly's old flat with Courtney telling Aadi she'll sell her rings towards the deposit and with the rest of the cash they can enjoy heading out to celebrate.
The blonde bombshell drags Aadi to the bistro where a golf club bash is also going on which Courtney sees as the perfect opportunity to wind up her estranged ex-husband, Darren Vance (Ryan Early).
Courtney snogs the face off Aadi while talking loudly about their new flat but Dev can barely watch as Darren squares up to his son.
Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) orders calm but as they leave she warns Courtney that she knows her game and that it's obvious she's using Aadi when she's still in love with Darren.
Meanwhile, Darren takes Dev to one aide and offers him £5k to split up Courtney and Aadi. Fans are left unsure if Dev will take the bait but we soon seen him at home, pulling out the money and telling Courtney it's all hers if she dumps Aadi.
Will Courtney take the bait?
Meanwhile, Jenny Bradley (Sally Ann Matthews) and Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) move in with Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) but assure her they won't be under her feet for long as they're hoping to be off to Thailand soon.
On the street, Jenny, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger), Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan), Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) watch emotionally as the Waterford's workmen start boarding up the Rovers.
When Gemma reveals she has applied for the deputy manager role with the Waterfords, Daisy's fuming, assuming that it would go to Jenny.
Will Gemma land her new role and just how long with Jenny and Stephen be under Rita's feet?
Wedding plans aren't going quite in the right direction when Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) meet up with the Registrar to go over finer details.
When Paul request 'Oh Happy Day' for their exit music, the Registrar explains they're not allowed religious music at a civil ceremony, leaving Paul gutted.
Elsewhere, Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) asks Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) if he’d be prepared to give a talk to the STC students about the impact violent crime has on its victims but Ryan’s unsure and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) tells Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) that Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) has gone to a meeting but when he gets a phone call from the police, his heart sinks.
