Fans of Big Brother have taken aim at the show's presenters and said one host is more than "enough".
After a five-year hiatus, Big Brother returned to screens on Sunday night (October 8) with hosts Aj Odudu and Will Best at the helm. As fans got readjusted to the brand new ITV format, twelve new contestants entered the house and went on to play a number of twisted party games as soon as they arrived.
But although many were excited to see the new series kick off with a bang, others found that having two presenters was a bit too much, due to the fact that it originally only had one main host. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their complaints regarding the arrangement.

One social media user wrote: "I’m sorry, why do we have two presenters for the main show?! Like AJ the seasoned professional couldn’t do this on her own?!"
Another said: "Feels like it could be a good one, housemate wise. Not feeling the presenters at all though… Duo doesn't work. Maybe lack of "live' presenting bit that launch felt a bit weird. It should've been Rylan @ITV and you know it."
A third said: "I don’t think two presenters were needed tbh." While a fourth viewer chimed in and wrote: "Didn’t need two presenters, let alone two that don’t do it justice. I could probably have gone with Will on his own. However, Davina said she’d have said yes. Bringing her back alongside the other changes would have been the perfect balance of old and new."
Despite the backlash, some viewers enjoyed Will and AJ as the dynamic duo, with one taking to X to write: "I declare the new #BBUK a success! Great presenters, great new housemates, drama in the first few minutes of them all being together. Staying true to itself."
Original Big Brother host Davina McCall, who presented the show on Channel 4 from 2000-2010, appeared to be tuned in to the ITV launch show last night. She also shared her reaction directly to a fan on social media.
Replying to a fan who advised her and former Big Brother's Bit on the Side presenter Rylan Clark to "start a Whatsaap support group", Davina gave a simple two word response. She wrote, "We have" and added a laughing face emoji.
