VIEWERS complained that BBC Breakfast 'ripped off' another rival show and many 'switched off' during a live interview when they noticed an annoying format.
This morning's edition was hosted by Sally Nugent, 52, and Jon Kay, 54.
The pair welcomed, McFly singer, Tom Fletcher who has now become a best selling children's author and vlogger to the show.
The star came to chat about his new theatrical tour – a live stage adaption of his children's books.
"This is the first time it's been brought to life on the stage, and it's on tour all around the country at the moment," Tom told Sally and Jon.
It comes after, yesterday TV star, Vernon Kay did a live interview on the BBC show talking about his ULTRA Ultramarathon challenge from Leicester to Bolton.

Previous to that, broadcaster, Clare Balding also came on to promote her book about dogs – Isle of Dogs: A Canine Adventure Through Britain.
As a result, viewers were left unimpressed with BBC Breakfast, complaining that it had become a 'free celebrity advertising spot' and compared it to another rival show, 'Flog It'.
Flog It! sees members of the public bring their antiques to be viewed and valued, with an option to sell at auction.
Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: "BBC Breakfast ought to be re-branded as Flog It."
