Toyota Gazoo Racing (GR) has reached a new production milestone, having delivered its 100th GR Supra GT4 consumer race car. To celebrate this feat, the automaker is set to produce one of its most limited runs yet, three examples of the GR Supra GT4 “100 Edition.” It’s said that one example is already dedicated to the Europe market, another to North America and the last to Asia.
The GR Supra GT4 “100 Edition” will be exclusively delivered in Plasma Orange, matching the exterior of the related special edition production model, the GR Supra “GT4 100th Edition Tribute” which goes on sale later this year in Europe. Where the “100 Edition” differs is that it is not GT4 homologated and is intended for track day use only — as it’s based on the 440 hp GR Supra GT4 EVO.
Other notable design elements of the “100 Edition” are its large bonnet vent and new dive plane aerodynamic devices at the front to improve downforce. A new exhaust system without a muffler is fitted to amplify the satisfying roar of the 3.0L six-cylinder turbocharged engine. The Power Stick, which governs the engine’s power output, will also be delivered in the same Plasma Orange color.
Additional details include carbon fiber wing mirrors and endurance LED headlights. The car’s exclusive status is expressed through embroidered “100 Edition” logos on both seats and a unique badge on the dashboard, as well as on an included car cover for when the vehicle isn’t out on the track.
While Toyota has said that the GR Supra GT4 “100 Edition” is designed “exclusively for collectors,” there is no mention of how to get ahold of this $236,000 USD race car. However, we assume that it is by invitation only, based on the extremely limited quantity available.
