Strictly Come Dancing finalist Ellie Leach received a gushing tribute from her doting cousin and former Coronation Street co-star Brooke Vincent hours before the live BBC final.
The 22-year-old actress has been going from strength to strength on the reality show with her professional dance partner Vito Coppola. It’s fair to say the dynamic duo started out as the underdogs in the competition, but they have come on leaps and bounds over the past few months.
Now, as the former soap star puts in the final hours or rehearsal, her supportive cousin has shared a sweet good luck message to her online. Taking to Instagram, the mum-of-two shared a series of throwback snaps of the pair together as well as some throughout her time on the ballroom competition.

The TV star looked completely unrecognisable in an adorable baby snap alongside a childhood pic with her cousin in their youth. She wrote: “[yellow heart emoji] Bleach… @ellielouiseleach [yellow heart emoji].
“I will never have the words to explain how proud I am and have always been of you… this journey has been different! It’s been more than a competition and I am so happy that the world gets to see exactly why we all love you so much!
“GOOD LUCK tonight to our very own dancing queen! You have given everything and more to this & there’s not a doubt in my mind that this is the start of a new chapter for you!!! This is your time to shine exactly like you have been doing!…
“I love you, El, so so much, we are all right behind you as always [sparkle emoji, yellow heart emoji].” It didn’t take long before her famous friends and loyal legion of fans showered the pair with compliments online.
Hollyoaks star Nadine Mulkerrin penned: “Beautiful friendship!! [heart emoji] Go Ellie! [white heart emoji].” Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon added: “Fingers Crossed for tonight!! You’ve ben incredible @ellielouiseleach [applause emoji, fire emoji, dancing queen emoji].”
Another agreed: “Ellie has been amazing! You see improvement every week and to see her confidence grow is incredible. Love the partnership they have. Will be getting my votes tonight [dancing queen emoji, dancing king emoji].”
A third agreed: “Team Ellie and Vito, a dancer who has started from scratch and this is what the show is about, I really hope you get the glitterball.”
It comes after brand and culture expert Nick Ede revealed that Ellie could be a winner after the epic series finale whether she wins or not. Speaking to The Sun, the expert explained how the actress has “all the makings of a huge star on stage and screen”.

He also revealed that the TV star is well on the way to make her first million within the next two years. Nick also told the publication that the soap star has “kept everyone on their toes” with rumours of a romance blossoming between her and Vito.
The expert went on: “Her and Vito have caused water cooler moments for fans throughout the competition. If she is really seeing Vito, then they could be the next hot couple, like Gorka and Gemma Atkinson, and I can see them doing lots of personal appearances and performances.
“Ellie’s up against very strong competition but she looks set to be a winner no matter who gets the title this weekend.”
