Fox’s confirms it won't bring back discontinued fan favourite chocolate bar – shoppers are gutted | The Sun

FOX'S biscuit has confirmed it won't be bringing back a fan favourite and shoppers are gutted.

The famous Echo Bar will not be returning to shelves, the biscuit brand has confirmed.

One disappointed fan posted in Facebook's Food Finds UK group, with just the word: "Heartbreaking".

She had written to Fox's to ask the retailer if the Echo Bar would be making a return.

In response, it said: "Unfortunately, I can confirm we do not make Echo Bars at the moment, as sadly they were not as popular as we would have hoped.

"Whilst we appreciate your positive comments we currently have no plans to bring them back at this time."

While someone else wrote: "They were God tier."

And another said: "What the hell. They were one of the best."

Quality Street brings back discontinued flavour after 20 years

The Sun has asked Fox's for a comment.

Fox's Echo Bar launched in the early noughties before being scrapped a few years later.

The main flavour features milk and white chocolate with a crunchy biscuit base.

There was also a mint flavour.

When the bar was discontinued some 12 years ago, Fox replaced it with the Velvety bar, though fans were not impressed.

However, in a poll issued last year, the Echo Bar was not high on the list of sweet treats fans want back on shelves.

The most favoured sweet treat was Cadbury Dream which was discontinued in 2019.

Dream bars are plain white chocolate bars.

Closely following was Cadbury Marble, which disappeared in the UK in 2012.

However, it isn't all doom and gloom as Quality Street has announced it will be relaunching a fan favourite.

The chocolatier has revealed its coffee creme flavour will make a welcome return ahead of Christmas.

But fans won't find the iconic flavour in the usual Quality Street tubs.

The sweet treat will be available inside Quality Street's festive cracker and advent calendar this year.

You'll only be able to pick the calendars and crackers up in Waitrose and John Lewis and they hit the shelves from September 20.

Muller delighted shoppers in July when it launched the Muller Corner Mississippi Mud Pie yoghurt in Asda stores.

And just last week it relaunched its strawberry and chocolate orange balls Muller Corner flavour too.
