'Disgusted' Man Utd fans rage as hundreds of Galatasaray supporters infiltrate home end during Champions League defeat | The Sun

MANCHESTER UNITED fans were left “disgusted” after hundreds of Galatasaray supporters infiltrated the home end of Old Trafford last night.

The Turkish giants secured a famous 3-2 Champions League win at the Theatre of Dreams on Tuesday.

Away fans made plenty of noise as they cheered their team on to victory.

However, many Galatasaray supporters were able to get themselves into the home section at Old Trafford.

Stunning footage shows hundreds of fans grouped together singing and chanting after the match.

United supporters who stayed behind following the final whistle were left aghast.

And many fumed online about how the Red Devils failed to clamp down on infiltrators while having strict policies regarding their own fans.

One said: “United will tout their own fans to the tune of £400 and ban passing on tickets for a meaningless cup game, but let about 10k Gala fans in the home end without intervention.

“Felt like I was away in Istanbul. Absolutely disgusting from United.”

Another declared: “Nearly had a fight next to me, really bad.”

One noted: “This is a business club, not a football club.”

Another added: “Gifted my ticket to the foundation. United sold it on at ticket office. Guess who was in my seat? A Galatasaray fan.”

The away supporters had every reason to cheer at the final whistle as their side twice battled back from a goal down to win 3-2.

Mauro Icardi nabbed the winner with a clever finish minutes after missing a penalty.

But it’s now six defeats for United this season, with the Red Devils losing both of their Champions League group stage clashes.

They also suffered defeat in the Premier League to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

And Erik ten Hag will be keen to ensure his side do not go into the international break with three successive losses when they host Brentford on Saturday.
