The Chase host Bradley Walsh has landed a huge new presenting gig that sees him following in the footsteps of comedic greats.
Walsh is now set to appear as the host of the 2023 edition of the Royal Variety Show, which is set to take place at London's Royal Albert Hall. Walsh already has extensive experience in presenting, as he currently hosts the hit ITV quiz show, as well as the BBC's new series of Blankety Blank.
The Royal Variety Show this year is due to be a star studded event, with performances from musical legend Cher and Britain's Got Talent winner Viggo Venn already confirmed. As the show falls on the centenary anniversary of Disney productions, group performances from West End productions of The Lion King and Aladdin are also planned.

Bradley is taking the reins from Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You star Lee Mack, who hosted the show in 2022. Other funnymen who have had the honour of hosting the show include Romesh Ranganathan, Alan Carr and Miranda Hart.
Among the other guests invited to the event, McFly will also be performing as the band celebrates its 20th anniversary. Swedish popstar Zara Larsson will also take to the stage, as well as eighties legend Rick Astley.
Game of Thrones actress and Eurovision 2023 host Hannah Waddingham will also make an appearance as she sings alongside the English National Opera. Spice Girl Melanie C is set to pay tribute to late Everton chairman and theatre producer Bill Kenwright, who passed away last month.
Speaking on landing the role, Bradley said he was thrilled for being picked to present the prestigious event. He said: ""I am so excited to be presenting this year's show.
"It’s been 30 years this year since I first performed at The Royal Variety Performance, so what an absolute honour to be hosting," he continued. "The line-up is incredible and I can’t wait for you all to see what I have in store."
Bradley, 63, recently opened up on dealing with a "seriously bad" health condition with GB News host Eamonn Holmes. Walsh announced that he regularly suffers from an eye condition called blepharitis, which makes eyelids swollen and itchy.
Walsh said that he tackles the condition by taking one pill a day, but admitted that he does struggle with his health. Speaking on how the issue affects him, he said: "So many times, people have commented on how I look. But they don’t realise. If I take medication though, I'm fine."
