The pharmacy giant has been working through 300 planned closures across the UK.
Dozens of Boots pharmacy locations have already been axed from British high streets in recent months, with more to follow in 2024.
In the latest blow to customers who rely on the retailer for their prescriptions and wellbeing services, Boots closed yet another branch today.
Those local to High Row, Darlington will now have to travel further afield for their pharmaceutical needs.
It’s not all bad news though as the larger Boots health and beauty store will remain open in nearby Northgate.

Earlier this year, the retailer confirmed that it would reduce its number of brick-and-mortar sites over a 12-month period.
Speaking previously to Express.co.uk, a spokesperson for Boots reiterated that the removal of 300 stores is essentially about removing overlapping branches rather than axing the brand itself from British high streets.
The retailer still currently has more than 2,100 health and beauty stores across the UK and claims that an impressive 85 percent of the UK population is within 10 minutes of one of its branches.

It’s not the only major brand to cease trading at some sites this weekend.
Marks and Spencer’s and B&M will also axe one store each on Saturday, November 4.
M&S is expected to pull the shutters on 10 sites by the end of 2023, with the Eagles Meadow Food Hall in Wrexham being one of the first to go.
The store was earmarked for closure on Thursday, November 30, but shoppers will see the in-store M&S cafe cease trading tomorrow.
The news comes after M&S revealed it will permanently shut ten of its stores and relocate to new sites this year.
Food and homeware giant B&M will leave shoppers in the lurch this weekend when the Westmorland Retail Park site in Cramlington will close.
On Saturday, November 4, the branch will lock its doors for good to make way for a new and improved branch nearby.
The closure forms part of the chain’s relocation plans which will see the new Cramlington store at Manor Walks Shopping Centre open its doors to B&M fans on Saturday, November 11.
