Off the tail end of BAPE®’s Spring/Summer 2024 Runway Show by R, the Japanese streetwear brand is unveiling a limited-edition figurine, enshrining the legacy of its signature BABY MILO® motif. The BABY MILO® BY *A BATHING APE® METAL FIGURINE in part celebrates BAPE®’s 30th Anniversary and the “by R” showcase, which spotlighted the brand’s arsenal of iconic patterns spanning the 1990s onward, including ABC CAMO, the BABY MILO® mascot and BAPE® CAMO. Zoning in on how these motifs have significantly influenced tastemakers across music, sports and entertainment, even piercing realms of home decor and lifestyle, BAPE pays homage to its ubiquitous character and the spirit engrained in BABY MILO®.

The collectible arrives outfitted with chrome- and gold-toned accents — a substantial, weighty figurine crafted from 100% metal zinc alloy, sitting at 6.2 kg (approximately 14 lbs) and measuring 14.3cm tall X 24.5cm wide. A statement piece for the office, lounge or elsewhere, BAPE®’s ’90s baby is fittingly designed for fashion lovers and brand loyalists known to scan resale sites for coveted styles. The lore of BABY MILO® follows the 1993 inception of BAPE® CAMO, a pattern donned by prominent producers and rappers who widely dominated rap and pop music of the early ‘90s and ‘00s. BABY MILO® is inseparable from this era and associated with the global rise of Japanese streetwear aesthetics.
Since BABY MILO® is no ordinary character, BAPE has created equally luxe packaging to house its commemorative model. Made from premium wood, the custom-designed crate features aluminum framing and fire-proof paneling, equipped with iron handles on the side exterior. Additional touches, like a unique serial number and BAPE®’s signature LINE CAMO, elevate the packaging as a standalone display.
The BABY MILO® BY *A BATHING APE® METAL FIGURINE is limited to 500 editions worldwide and will retail for $1,200 USD. Shop the collectible in-store at select BAPE STORE® locations and on us.bape.com, starting November 25.
