Before Travis Kelce hit headlines for his rumoured romance with Taylor Swift, the NFL star was dating marketing and brand consultant Maya Benberry.
The pair dated for several months after she won the reality dating series Catching Kelce in 2016 but since the end of their relationship the 31-year-old has accused him of being unfaithful.
She publicly claimed Kansas City Chiefs cheated on her in a since-deleted threat on X when he started his next relationship with sports broadcaster Kayla Nicole, claiming that there was an overlap between their romances with the star athlete.
Now, speaking to the Daily Mail Maya reiterated her claims warning his rumoured new girlfriend: “Once a cheater always a cheater.”
She assured there’s no bad blood between her and the Grammy winner, saying the 33-year-old seems to have a “beautiful spirit” and wished her luck with Travis, but advised her to “be smart”.

However, Maya also has faith in Taylor’s own ability to assess who should and shouldn’t be in her life and cryptically concluded: “I can only hope that she comes out the teacher in this situation and not the student.”
The life coach highlighted that she could only comment on the type of person Travis was when they were together six years ago but didn’t feel he had changed much in the time since.
Maya first met the NFL player through his E! Dating series when she entered the competition alongside 49 other women, one from each state across the US, vying for Travis’ affection.
Following their split, Travis went on to date Kayla Nicole for five years and never publicly addressed the accusations Maya made in the deleted posts.

In 2020, speculations on infidelity started circling Travis’ new relationship during a brief break in his romance with Kayla but he denied the rumours according to the Daily Mail.
The Daily Express has contacted Travis Kelce’s representatives for comment.
Rumours that Travis had moved onto the Eras Tour musician started earlier this year when he revealed on his New Heights podcast that he would be attending one of her concerts and hoped to get her attention by making a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it.
Travis’ brother and podcast co-host, Jason, put fuel on the fire when he declared he stays out of his brother’s love life but cryptically added: “I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100 percent true, and I hope this thing goes a mile — no, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”
