Vito Coppola kisses Ellie Leach on Strictly Come Dancing
Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has labelled her dancer partner Vito Coppola “dramatic” following an injury he suffered during last weekend’s show.
On Wednesday night, the pair made an appearance on Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two and addressed the “serious” moment they shared on the night.
The duo performed the paso doble to Insomnia by Faithless and were praised for their dance – but it came at a cost.
Vito, 31, was seen clutching his tooth after Ellie, 22, accidentally hit him in a moment of excitement. Host Janette Manrara asked Vito: “First of all, how’s your tooth?”
Interjecting, Ellie, who played Faye Windass in ITV’s Coronation Street, said: “Sorry, I’ve injured him again”.

Vito then replied: “My tooth! Last week, I almost lost my toe, my big toe, she squeezed so hard it became double the size. The last small finger of the foot became the same size as the toe. Yesterday I almost lost my ear because I fell.”
He then pointed to the inside of his lip as he began to explain his injury before an amused Ellie cut in telling him: “You are the most dramatic person I have ever met in my life.”
Hitting back at his partner, Vito reeled off a list of apparent injuries he had sustained while performing with the soap star.
“My last small finger of the foot became the same size as the toe because she also stepped there. After this, what next week? Yesterday I almost lost my ear.”

But Vito soon had a smile on his face as host Janette gifted him something to prevent any further mishaps.
The dancer beamed when she handed him a silver glittery mouthguard, as Ellie quipped: “Now he’s glad I knocked his tooth.”
It comes after Ellie and Vito’s chemistry on and off the dancefloor was placed under the microscope by a relationship expert.
Commenting on the speculation surrounding a potential romance between the pair, relationship expert Louella Alderson said: “It’s easy to see why people are speculating about a potential romance between Ellie and Vito, as their chemistry on the dance floor is undeniable.
“It’s particularly evident in their recent routine, where they shared a kiss at the end. Their passion and chemistry in their performances have resulted in consistently high scores from the judges and positive feedback from viewers.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday on BBC One from 6:30pm.
