Nigel Farage chats about risks of entering I’m A Celebrity
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! hopeful Nigel Farage told listeners on his LBC show in 2017 that he “regrets” his “personal difficulties following his split from his wife Kirsten.
The former UKIP and Brexit Party leader married Kirsten, his second wife, in 1999. They share two children: Victoria, 23, and Isabelle, 18.
Before meeting Kirsten, the 59-year-old was married to nurse Grainne Hayes from 1988 until 1999 after she treated him in hospital. They also share two children: Samuel, 34, and Thomas, 32.
In 2017, Kirsten confirmed that she and Nigel had been living “separate lives” for years.
She said in a statement: “My husband and I have lived separate lives for some years and he moved out of the family home a while ago. This is a situation that suits everyone and is not news to any of the people involved.”

Around the same time, it was reported that Nigel had been living with French politician Laure Ferrari, who is 17 years his junior.
A day after Kirsten released her statement, Nigel addressed her comments live on LBC, saying that “we all go through ups and downs”.
He told his listeners: “Some of you will have seen press coverage over the last few days – and no doubt there’ll be more of it – about a few personal difficulties that I’ve had with my marriage and my family and my relationships.
“And I would just say this – all of us in our lives go through ups and downs and I regret the down that I’m in at the moment.”

The politician also confirmed that he was living with Ms Ferrari in what he described as a “working relationship”.
He told the Mail On Sunday: “She is someone I have worked with and known for a long time who wanted somewhere to stay for a week that wouldn’t cost her any money. It’s a working relationship. You can inflate it however you want to.”
Nigel’s relationship status is currently unknown, and it has not been confirmed whether he is divorced from Kirsten.
Now, the controversial politician has signed up for the news series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! which kicks off this Sunday.
Upon arriving in Australia, he admitted that he was expecting a “frosty” reception from his fellow campmates.
He said: “What will be interesting is the perception the other campers will have of me. They will go in with their preconceived ideas and it might be a little bit frosty – we will just have to see.
“I can’t pretend to be anyone other than who I am, I never have. But I survived for 20 years in the European Parliament with all sorts of people trying to trip me up so I am used to that!”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs Sunday at 9pm on ITV.
