Britney Spears has baffled fans by uploading a new video that shows she has her Christmas tree up over two months early.
The Hit Me Baby One More Time singer uploaded a picture of her striking different poses in a see-through red dress to her Instagram.
She captioned the video: 'Just a game of a little CHESS. YOU CAN’T DO THAT … YOU CAN’T DO THAT … well … I JUST DID !!!."
The star opted to have her blonde hair scraped back as she wore her makeup in her signature overly smoky eye.
But fans in the comments couldn’t stop talking about the huge Christmas tree in the background of her video, with many confused as to why the star decided to put it up so early.
One person commented: "All I saw was the Christmas tree up before Halloween."
"Is this current or old cuz the Christmas tree is throwing me off," said another.
While a third supported Britney’s decision to celebrate early, penning: "Christmas tree season! Yes! I love that you put it up early too!"
It comes as Britney recently told her fans they needed to 'lighten up' after sparking concern with a video of her dancing with knives.
The 41-year-old songstress uploaded a clip of herself spinning around and busting some moves at home in her underwear, all while clutching a pair of kitchen knives as her dogs loitered around at her feet.
"I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!!" she captioned it. "Don't worry, they are NOT real knives!!! Halloween is soon!!!"
After the video caused alarm among social media users, the hit-maker then claimed it had caused a ‘welfare check’ to take place at her home.
TMZ reported that the Ventura County Sheriff's Department had received a call 'expressing concern' over Britney's social media posts and visited her property 'out of an abundance of caution.'
Britney hit out: "Is it a joke in the news again with welfare checks??? Come on America … we cooler than that, right???'
"The officers came to my home and said they would not leave until they spoke to me as people do 4-minute performances with them."
Britney then added: "I am getting an apology. I've been bullied in my home for so long now…ITS ENOUGH! Don't talk about it, come on, let's DO!!!"
She also posted another dancing video alongside the caption: "Lighten up about the knives I'm copying Shakira!!!'
Britney was understood to be referring to this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, in which 46-year-old Colombian singer Shakira accepted a Lifetime Achievement gong before performing a medley of her greatest hits.
As she took to the stage, Shakira was seen performing a daring routine, wielding two daggers during the show. This caused fans to worry, and authorities were called for welfare checks to her home in California."
