I’m plus-size & love wearing crop tops – trolls say I’m glorifying obesity, I’d love to see more fat girls dress like me | The Sun

A PLUS-SIZE fashionista who's been accused of 'glorifying obesity' has explained why she wears teeny crop tops.

Plus-size lifestyle content creator Jaelynn, from the USA, first went viral after demanding that airlines gave her two extra seats for free – but now she's come under fire for allegedly promoting being obese, according to outraged social media users.

Although the travel influencer regularly shares tips and tricks for those on the more curvy side, Jaelynn has also received cruel comments online where people blame her for ''glorifying obesity'' and being unhealthy.

Over the last few years, obesity has become an almost global issue, with one expert even liking it to a ''pandemic'' in the UK – whilst in the USA, it's said that 3/4 of the adult population could be described as overweight and obese.

One in four adults and a fifth of children aged ten to 11 in the UK are now believed to have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or over, which together with a large waist size, is considered obese.

Being at an unhealthy weight and carrying a lot of fat can increase the risk of developing cancer, heart attacks and strokes.

Obesity can also lead to diabetes and associated complications, such as nerve damage and poor blood circulation which, in extreme cases, can lead to ulcers that cause such severe tissue and bone destruction that amputation is needed, experts have warned.

However, despite the harsh remarks and continuous trolling, the plus-size babe is determined not to let it get her down.

"I'll post whatever I want to on my page and you can do whatever it is you do on your page. K?'' she recently hit back at the meanies.

The content creator, who posts under the username @jaebaeofficial, has also been very vocal about body positivity, explaining there's ''nothing wrong with my body, fat is not a dirty word''.

Now, the social media fanatic said she hoped all of her posts about her experience being plus-size will help others feel less alone – and added she even wanted to come across more similar bodies on TikTok.

Sporting a sheer, belly-flashing crop top, Jaelynn said in her video: ''I wanna see more f@t babes in crop tops on my FYP [For You Page].''

Although for the most part the comments she receives are of a positive nature, the curvy fashionista has also been been the centre of less kind remarks.

One meanie said: ''Something wrong with you.''

Another hater recently wrote: "I'm bigger too but just looking at her makes me want to go to the gym.''

After learning about her petition to make airlines more accessible for plus-size travellers, someone else said: ''if you can afford the food to weigh 400+ pounds you can afford two seats on a plane.''

A fourth agreed, writing: ''I don't fill an entire seat but I don't get it half price. if you need am extra seat buy one.''

Fortunately, there has also been planty of support of fans reminding Jaelynn to ignore the cruel comments.

"Ignore the trolls they're clearly jealous. I love your vibe and you're gorgeous,'' one style fanatic penned.

"As long as you're happy it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks," someone else wrote.
