Zoe Ball was replaced by Gaby Roslin on the Friday edition of her BBC Radio Breakfast show after she pulled out due to sickness. Opening the programme this morning, Gaby addressed the host’s absence telling listeners: “Yes, I’m here today because poor old Zoe is not well. Get well soon Zoe!”<\/p>\n

Taking to her Instagram page during the show, she also posed for a selfie in the studio and echoed the same message to her friend and co-star in view of her 310.000 followers. On Thursday’s show, Zoe, 53, revealed she was suffering from a cold, but pushed through and remained her usual upbeat self as she interacted with callers and her co-stars.<\/p>\n

When asked how she was feeling by a caller, she replied: “Cold neck up, body down… the rest all fine. Feeling festive, Christmas party tomorrow night with the gang and I’m feeling almost ready for Christmas.”<\/p>\n

Later on in the show, she excitedly discussed the team’s work Christmas do again with her co-star Richie as well as the upcoming Strictly Come Dancing final. Of the three remaining contestants Layton Williams, Ellie Leach and Bobby Brazier, she said she couldn’t wait to watch the “fabulous” stars perform three dances in the hope of winning the Glitterball trophy.<\/p>\n

The much-loved presenter also caught up with actor Adam Driver, who she provided with doughnuts mid-interviewr his birthday. Fans were quick to comment on the hilarious moment on Instagram, as one wrote: “Please post more clips!!! What a fun interview, thank you for asking him about his birthday and feeding him with doughnuts.”<\/p>\n

A second added: “This interview was so refreshing and fun. You’re awesome at your job, Zoe and I hope you have as fun as you seem to have.” A third typed: “You have the dreamiest job, and you make it look so easy\u2026.. guess that\u2019s why you are a Boss! Love you @zoetheball.”<\/p>\n

It’s likely Zoe will make a return to her show on Monday. Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for her and the BBC for comment. Last week, the presenter addressed humorous complaints after one of her listener’s requested to play Madness’ hit Baggy Trousers.<\/p>\n

In favour of the request, the Radio 2 host agreed to play the song, but not everyone was impressed with the decision. After the song played, Zoe returned to the mic and said: \u201cHang on a minute, Richie – we\u2019ve had some complaints.\u201d<\/p>\n

She then began to read out a message from a disgruntled listener from Manchester, who said: \u201cGood morning, Zoe. Why didn\u2019t you play, \u2018Donald, Where\u2019s Your Troosers?\u2019” The host then went on to read out another message from a listener named Shirley who had the same issue. She fumed: \u201cShocked, shocked horrified and dreadfully upset that you didn\u2019t play, Donald, \u2018Where\u2019s Your Troosers’.”<\/p>\n
