THEY'REa vital tool when it comes to Christmas wrapping.

But one woman who couldn't find her scissors when she sat down to wrap some gifts came up with a whole new way to cut the paper to size.

Jasmine labelled herself a "genius" as she took to TikTok to share her hack – holding open a roll of wrapping paper as she used an eyebrow shaper to slice it where she needed to.

"No more scissors, use an eyebrow shaper," she wrote over the top of the clip.

"Thank me later!"

"I have just come up with the most genius thing," she wrote in the caption.

"I lost my scissors but this works amazing."

The eyebrow shapers are also known as face razors, and have a sharp piece of razor blade attached to a bit of plastic.

They're often used at home for "dermaplaning" – where people carefully remove the hair and peach fuzz on their faces.

And people in the comments section were quick to praise Jasmine for sharing the tip, with one writing: "So smart omg!"

"It works with cutting sellotape too!" Jasmine replied.

"Where were you with this hack last night?!" another commented.

"Thank god I saw this, I’m starting wrapping today thank you!!" a third added.

As someone else wrote: "Genius! Makes me fume when the scissors don’t glide down perfectly."

"Makes a perfect cut," Jasmine responded.

"I always make it wonky with scissors!"

"I legit just found a bunch of eyebrow shavers when sorting my drawer out, thanks for the hack," another commented.

"EXCUSE ME?!? how is this not viral, this is genius!!!!!" someone else praised.

But others weren't quite as convinced, and pointed out that using the blade could end up damaging the floor beneath.

"I'd end up going through the carpet," one joked.

As another laughed: "I'd be needing new flooring for Christmas".

"Give the carpet a trim whilst you're at it,"a third commented.

And some even used the comments section to share their own hacks for cutting wrapping paper.

"Nah use a knife I've been using a Stanley knife for years – 10/10," one wrote.

"I use a wrapping paper cutter. Best £1.40 investment of my life," another suggested.

"My dad would fold the paper and use a ruler," a third laughed.

Shelling out on wrapping paper can be expensive if you've got a lot of gifts to wrap up for the big day.

But it was recently revealed that Costco's double-sided paper – witha Santa print on one side and a winter snowflake effect on the other – is a game changer.

One woman shared her top tip on Facebook, as she said that the paper's such good quality, and there's so much of it, that it will last her for ages.

''All ready wrapped loads of presents up and as you see loads more on the roll,'' she said.

"Got this two weeks ago I'm sure it was £10, no vat on it as well.

''Other years paying £30 /40 on thin paper or tape does not stick to it.

"So glad I got this!"

And she wasn't the only fan of the Costco paper.

''Use this every year, it’s amazing and so thick compared to other paper," one person commented on the post.

"Lots of choice in designs too.''

''Always use this one side for one child, another side for the other, no tags needed,'' another wrote.

''I've had 2 rolls of this for 3 years now and it doesn't even look like I've touched them! Last forever,'' someone else chimed in.

</picture>MUTED MAKEOVER
