Social media users have raved over\u00a0a cheap hack they say will help you remove tough tea and coffee stains from your mugs.<\/p>\n
Taking to UK-based\u00a0Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips\u00a0on Facebook, one person asked: ‘Any tips for removing tea\/coffee stains from a travel mug?’\u00a0and the comment was inundated with responses pointing towards one item.<\/span><\/p>\n Steradent denture cleaning tablets retail for only \u00a31 in both Tesco and Sainsbury’s\u00a0– and work a treat ‘overnight’, especially when paired with boiling water according to some fans.<\/p>\n Packs often contain 30 tablets so it works out at 3p a try when using them to clean your mugs.<\/p>\n Several fans in the comment section recommended soaking the cup after placing the tablet inside the stained item to ensure the best sparkling results.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Social media users have raved over a cheap hack they say will help you remove tough tea and coffee stains from your mugs\u00a0(stock image)<\/p>\n Others weighed in with their own methods, which ranged from using ‘white vinegar’ to ‘a tiny bit of dissolved Vanish powder’, but the overwhelming majority trusted the denture tablets method.<\/p>\n It comes after a\u00a0Facebook user turned to one of UK cleanfluencer Mrs Hinch’s fan groups to ask others to share their top tips for removing\u00a0tough blood stains from bedding.<\/p>\n Several cleaning fans took to the post to share how using a 65p household item – salt –\u00a0will help get them clean again.<\/p>\n They revealed that dissolving a liberal amount of salt in cold water, before\u00a0soaking the soiled bedding in the mixture, can help lift the pesky stains out of the sheets.\u00a0<\/p>\n One Facebook user wrote: ‘Soak them in cold water with salt, my mum always did and it works.’ And another agreed, simply writing: ‘Soak in cold water and lots of salt.’\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Taking to UK-based Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips on Facebook, one person asked: ‘Any tips for removing tea\/coffee stains from a travel mug?’ and t he comment was inundated with responses pointing towards one item (stock item)\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Several fans in the comment section recommended soaking the cup after placing the tablet inside the stained item to ensure the best sparkling results<\/p>\n Others noted the importance of using cold water, as hot can ‘set’ the blood stain in fabric.<\/p>\n One cleaning enthusiast explained: ‘Soak in cold salty water before washing. Hot water will set the stain.’\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Mrs Hinch has previously revealed how you can keep your bed itself fresh and clean.<\/p>\n According to the cleaning influencer,\u00a0it\u2019s recommended you turn your mattress once a month and refresh it every three to six months.<\/p>\n She says to do this, you should completely strip your bed down, before vacuuming your mattress thoroughly to\u00a0get rid of all the dead skin cells and dust.<\/p>\n Next, using a flour sieve, shake bicarbonate of soda evenly all over the mattress. This acts as an odour eater. Leave for a few hours at least and then vacuum it off. This should lift out any nasty smells.<\/p>\n
