WOUT WEGHORST showed Manchester United what they are missing as he scored a stunning goal for Holland.<\/p>\n

The striker led the line for his country against the Republic of Ireland last night as the Dutch secured a 1-0 win. <\/p>\n

Weghorst received the ball on the halfway line following a pass forward by Stefan de Vrij.<\/p>\n

He had Nathan Collins pressuring him but the 31-year-old showed his strength to hold off the centre-back.<\/p>\n

Weghorst let the ball run beyond him and then found a burst of pace as he sprinted beyond the Irish defence.<\/p>\n

Weghorst suffered a goal drought, scoring just twice in 26 games for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

None of his strikes for United came in the Premier League.<\/p>\n

The club decided not to make the loan deal permanent and fans were left scratching their heads in amazement at the quality of his goal for Holland.<\/p>\n

One said: "Where was this when he was at Old Trafford?"<\/p>\n

Another added: "Bring him back to United."<\/p>\n
