Nigel Farage chats about risks of entering I\u2019m A Celebrity<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m\u00a0A Celebrity…Get Me Out\u00a0Of\u00a0Here! hopeful Nigel Farage told listeners on his LBC show in 2017 that he \u201cregrets\u201d his \u201cpersonal difficulties following his split from his wife Kirsten.<\/p>\n

The former UKIP and Brexit Party leader married Kirsten, his second wife, in 1999. They share two children: Victoria, 23, and Isabelle, 18.<\/p>\n

Before meeting Kirsten, the 59-year-old was married to nurse Grainne Hayes from 1988 until 1999 after she treated him in hospital. They also share two children: Samuel, 34, and Thomas, 32.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Kirsten confirmed that she and Nigel had been living \u201cseparate lives\u201d for years.<\/p>\n

She said in a statement: \u201cMy husband and I have lived separate lives for some years and he moved out of the family home a while ago. This is a situation that suits everyone and is not news to any of the people involved.\u201d<\/p>\n

Around the same time, it was reported that Nigel had been living with French politician Laure Ferrari, who is 17 years his junior.<\/p>\n

A day after Kirsten released her statement, Nigel addressed her comments live on LBC, saying that \u201cwe all go through ups and downs\u201d.<\/p>\n

He told his listeners: \u201cSome of you will have seen press coverage over the last few days – and no doubt there\u2019ll be more of it – about a few personal difficulties that I\u2019ve had with my marriage and my family and my relationships.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I would just say this – all of us in our lives go through ups and downs and I regret the down that I\u2019m in at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n
