Hot off a lengthy world tour and now six Grammy nominations \u2013 including Album of the Year and Record of the Year \u2013 boygenius hit the Saturday Night Live<\/em> stage for the first time as a supergroup. Phoebe Bridgers, who made her SNL<\/em> debut back in 2021, Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker showed up \u2013 suited up, of course \u2013 like absolute rockstars to deliver performances of the record<\/em> tracks, “Not Strong Enough” and “Satanist.”<\/p>\n

Joined by Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet as the host, the boys poked fun at the group’s notorious depressive demeanor in the episode’s cold open before taking to the stage to perform an electric rendition of “Not Strong Enough.”<\/p>\n

After a stacked lineup of skits with Chalamet and the rest of the cast \u2013 including one which featured the four guest stars dressed as hallucinated Troye Sivans \u2013 the boys took the stage again for “Satanist.” The performance ended with Baker smoothly tossing her guitar offstage, a nod to Bridger’s legendary guitar smash during her 2021 performance of “I Know The End.”
