A LUCKY Brit who scooped a \u00a31million National Lottery jackpot APOLOGISED for her embarrassing blunder.<\/p>\n
Charlotte Peart bagged herself the eye-watering windfall after entering the EuroMillions draw. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old used the last \u00a31.50 in her online lottery account to enter the draw and buy two tickets.<\/p>\n
After hearing the incredible news, the shocked winner could be heard giggling on the phone.<\/p>\n
Overwhelmed, Charlotte couldn't hold in uncontrollable giggles and said: "I'm a bit giddy sorry, I think I'm going to cry", in between laughter.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Camelot about the life-changing phone call five years ago, Charlotte said: \u201cI can still vividly remember that moment, I just couldn\u2019t stop giggling.<\/p>\n
"Obviously it was the nerves but I think it was coupled with shocked disbelief, only two weeks earlier I had wound my husband up that we\u2019d won \u00a3250,000 so to suddenly be calling The National\u00a0Lottery\u00a0to officially claim \u00a31M was just crazy.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s great to hear my call again, it takes me right back to the beginning of our amazing winning adventure."<\/p>\n Charlotte explained that while the couple still work, they have splashed the cash on a new house.<\/p>\n The humble lotto player said they "could only ever have dreamt of" their home before the win.<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n And, with the extra space, they've been able to welcome two Labrador pups, Missy and Millie.<\/p>\n This comes as other lottery winners have shocked listeners with their reactions. <\/p>\n A man who won an eye-watering \u00a376million lotto jackpot surprised the public with his very British reponse.<\/p>\n Humble builder Andy Clark, 51, scooped the life-changing prize in a\u00a0EuroMillions\u00a0draw after his niece begged him to check his ticket.<\/p>\n After looking at his winning numbers, back in December 2018, Andy rang Camelot and the conversation sparked disbelief across the nation.<\/p>\n The 51-year-old from Boston,\u00a0Lincolnshire, told the phone operator: "Hello there mate, I think I've won a few quid so I phoned."<\/p>\n To which the lotto staff member laughed and replied: "Okay, so you've won \u00a376million."<\/p>\n Andy casually batted off the news and simply said: "Yeah."<\/p>\n "You're the person with the ticket," responded the phone operator in disbelief at the builder's calm reaction.<\/p>\n The operator then says: "Wow, what an amount of money. The exact amount was \u00a376,369,806.80."<\/p>\n To which Andy joked: "Just a little bit then."<\/p>\n This comes as the National Lottery is celebrating making 7,000 Brits millionaires since starting in 1994. <\/p>\n<\/picture>JACKPOT JOY<\/span><\/p>\n
