ASTON VILLA fans mocked new Birmingham manager Wayne Rooney during their 3-1 win over Luton on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Former Manchester United and England striker Rooney, 38, took over at St Andrew's earlier this month following the sacking of John Eustace.<\/p>\n


\n<\/p>\n

But he has suffered a nightmare start to life in the Midlands, losing each of his opening three games in charge.<\/p>\n

Defeats to Middlesbrough and Hull were followed up on Saturday with a 3-1 loss to Southampton.<\/p>\n

And 24 hours later, Villa supporters were quick to poke fun at their local rivals.<\/p>\n

As they watched their team win a 12th Premier League home game in a row, they took the time to reference Birmingham boss Rooney.<\/p>\n

As Rooney's men slip to 14th in the second tier, Villa are thriving under Unai Emery.<\/p>\n

They have won four of their last five Premier League games, picking up 13 points from a possible 15.<\/p>\n
