Royal Mail told customers: “Weekend delivery and collection services are expected to take place on Saturday, October 28 and parcel deliveries on Sunday, October 29.<\/p>\n

“Please visit royalmail.com\/servicesnearyou for our Customer Service Point opening times, for you to collect urgent items for which we\u2019ve left a \u2018Something for you\u2019 card.”<\/p>\n

Royal Mail aims to deliver to all addresses it has mail for, six days a week. The postal service assured customers: “Deliveries are operating as normal across the UK today.”<\/p>\n

However, this will not be the case for all postal offices, with some expected to be hit with delays over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Royal Mail explained that delays can be caused by high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors. On occasion, severe weather conditions will impact postal deliveries and collections. Six offices are likely to be affected by delays over the next two days.<\/p>\n
