Dancing On Ice professional Matt Evers has announced he will not return for the new series. <\/p>\n

In a statement, the 47 year old wrote: \u201cI have some news to share. I knew this day would come at some point but I won\u2019t be returning to Dancing On Ice this series\u2026 After 15 series of the show it was sadly time to hang up the skates for now.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have loved every minute of it (honestly!), I\u2019ve had some incredible partners over the years and we have created some fantastic TV moments.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean who can forget that fall from Gemma (Collins), or the wardrobe malfunction from Pamela (Anderson). And I was honoured to make history with H as the first ever UK same sex televised partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cI\u2019ll miss each and everyone on the show, in front and behind the camera \u2013 and all of you the fans too. But of course I\u2019ll be watching and commenting \u2013 which I can now be totally 100% honest about so watch out \u2013 haha.\u201d<\/p>\n

The skater\u2019s career on the ITV show began during its first series in 2006 when he was partnered with EastEnders actress Bonnie Langford. <\/p>\n

He was also part of the celebrity ice skating programme\u2019s first same-sex pairing alongside Steps star Ian \u201cH\u201d Watkins.<\/p>\n

This year, he had been partnered with former EastEnders star Patsy Palmer.<\/p>\n

Matt won the third series with Hear\u2019Say singer Suzanne Shaw and has also been partnered with former model Heather Mills, Loose Women star Denise Welch, Coronation Street star Faye Brookes and TV presenter Denise Van Outen. <\/p>\n

He was also paired with model Lara Worthington on the Australian spin-off show, Torvill And Dean\u2019s Dancing On Ice, in 2006.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said he has been \u201ca huge part of the show from the very first series creating some of the show\u2019s iconic moments\u201d.<\/p>\n

They added: \u201cMatt will always be a part of the Dancing On Ice family and we wish him all the very best for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, the show announced the full line-up of celebs who will be taking to the rink.<\/p>\n

Names include Love Island's Amber Davies, actor Ryan Thomas and soap legend Claire Sweeney. <\/p>\n

Dancing On Ice will return to ITV and ITVX in 2024 for a nine-week run.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
