A HOME And Away star has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer that has spread to his bones and bloodstream.<\/p>\n
Bruce Murray, who is suffering from oesophageal cancer, is a much-loved member of the Australian soap family.<\/p>\n

He has worked as a key grip on the show for years.<\/p>\n
The senior TV role saw Bruce supervising grip crews as well as assessing what equipment was needed while the Home And Away stars shot on location.<\/p>\n
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to raise money for the stalwart of the Aussie TV industry while he undergoes treatment.<\/p>\n
The wording on the charity page reads: "Recently our beloved, good friend Bruce Murray was diagnosed with Stage 4 Oesophageal Cancer, which has unfortunately gone into his blood stream and formed multiple cancers on his bones – ribs, spine, collar bone, sacrum, and hips.<\/p>\n

Bruce's kind-hearted friends and family have already surpassed the $10,000 funding aim – with the current total at more than $17,000.<\/p>\n

Bruce's website describes his telly work spanning the past two decades.<\/p>\n
It reads: "Leading the team of grips, he has worked on a vast variety of locations, from beach, underwater, on vehicles and boats, on top of buildings, and cliff faces."<\/p>\n
He has purchased much of his own grip and key equipment over the years, cementing his role in the industry.<\/p>\n
His LinkedIn page shows that he joined Home And Away back in 1997, and has worked there for the past 26 years.<\/p>\n
Away from the soap, Bruce is also known for working in the camera and electrical departments of TV shows Double The Fist, Good News Week and All Saints.<\/p>\n
