She fired rounds into windows, the ceiling and at officers before she was taken into custody<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?v=6XBwc9t-0Qc%3Frel%3D0<\/p>\n<p>She then sat down on a bench in the lobby and held the gun to her head and is seen firing a round into the ceiling before officers approached.<\/p>\n<p>Body camera footage shows officers assessing the situation from the hallway before attempting to have an open dialogue with the shooter.<\/p>\n<p>The Connecticut Inspector General&#8217;s office said during the efforts Laprise fired additional rounds in the direction of the officers.<\/p>\n<p>On the body camera footage officers are heard asking if the windows are bulletproof while gunshots are heard.<\/p>\n<p>Officer Spencer Boisvert returned fire, sending off two shots. The bullet-resistant glass stopped all rounds and no one was hit.<\/p>\n<p>Once Laprise put her weapon down, the video shows officers rushing towards her.<\/p>\n<p>Police said that &#8216;deployed an electronic defense weapon&#8217; before taking her into custody.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/06\/76413411-12617627-image-m-65_1697002883803.jpg\" height=\"325\" width=\"306\"><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/06\/76413405-12617627-image-m-67_1697002896717.jpg\" height=\"325\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>The former Connecticut state employee approached the police station front desk and banged on the windows with her gun. She then fired shots into the bulletproof glass<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/06\/76413401-12617627-image-a-63_1697002878334.jpg\" height=\"339\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Police body camera footage shows them firing shots at Laprise before taking her down and into custody<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/11\/06\/76413403-12617627-image-a-64_1697002880435.jpg\" height=\"325\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Surveillance video shows the officers bundling her to the ground.
