Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) makes a decision to leave the family home after opening up about her rape in Emmerdale.<\/p>\n
Lydia was attacked by her childhood friend Craig (Ben Addis) a few weeks ago. After, Craig\u2019s behaviour gradually got worse as he twisted his version of events and told Lydia that he never raped her because she didn\u2019t have any injuries on her body.<\/p>\n
Recently, Lydia was found by Kim (Claire King) on a bridge near the village. It was raining and Lydia was in severe distress, and was very nearly hit by Kim\u2019s car.<\/p>\n

Concerned for her friend, Kim managed to work out that Craig had raped Lydia.<\/p>\n
As the aftermath begins, emotions are running high. Lydia still hasn\u2019t told her family about the ordeal for fear of their reaction and because of that, she tells Sam (James Hooton) that she\u2019s off to her mum\u2019s.<\/p>\n
Upset that Lydia has gone, Sam talks to Kim, who subtly tests the waters to see if Lydia has told him her secret.<\/p>\n
After calling Lydia\u2019s mum, Sam and Kim are left panicked when she reveals that she isn\u2019t actually there.<\/p>\n

As Kim worries, Sam demands she tells him what she knows.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, at the B&B, a broken Lydia listens to Sam\u2019s recent voice message.<\/p>\n
As Lydia questions her decision to run away, Sam\u2019s worst fears are confirmed when Mandy (Lisa Riley) reveals that she thinks Lydia has been having an affair.<\/p>\n
However, just as Mandy explains her suspicions, a fragile Lydia returns home, ready to tell her family that she was raped by Craig.<\/p>\n
