On Wednesday, Skelton, 29, took to her Instagram to post a sweet birthday tribute to her on-screen mom and friend.<\/p>\n
The Brianna actress posted a heartwarming black and white photo of the pair embracing while sitting at their table at the 2022 BAFTA Scotland Awards dinner.<\/p>\n
The snap depicts the co-stars as perfect reflections of each other.<\/p>\n

Balfe wore a white dress to the event and tied her brunette hair back into a tight updo while Skelton wore a black dress and wore her blonde hair up in a similar fashion.<\/p>\n
Skelton captioned her post with: “Happy birthday @caitrionabalfe. Treasured real-life friend. Treasured fake mama. Love you.”<\/p>\n
Hundreds of fans took to the comments to praise the pair and how lovely the post was, with one fan writing: “I love this photo of you two. This magnificent photo represents your complicity and your friendship. Love you both.”<\/p>\n
