It’s the go-to calendar app for millions of people around the world, but <\/span>Google Calendar appeared to be having problems this afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 14:30 BST and affected users globally.\u00a0<\/p>\n More than 1,400 issues were logged, with two-thirds of users reporting problems with the website.\u00a0<\/p>\n MailOnline tried to access the app, and was met with an error message reading: ‘There was an error. Please try again later.’<\/p>\n Google is yet to comment on the cause of the outage.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It’s the go-to calendar app for millions of people around the world, but Google Calendar appeared to be having problems this afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Down Detector, the problems started at around 14:30 BST and affected users globally\u00a0<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Google has launched a new tool that lets you create your own emoji mashups<\/p>\n Of those who reported issues, 77 per cent said they were struggling with the website, while 19 per cent had server connection problems.\u00a0<\/p>\n The remaining four per cent said they were having issues with the app.\u00a0<\/p>\n Several frustrated users took to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the outage.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘Google Calendar is down, and to be honest, I have absolutely no idea if I have any meetings coming up or not,’ one user wrote.<\/p>\n Another added: ‘Google Calendar is down. I don’t know where I need to be and when, and people can’t book calls with me.’<\/p>\n And one joked: ‘Google Calendar is down. Does this mean we get the rest of the day off? …asking for a friend.’\u00a0<\/p>\n Google Calendar first launched back in 2009, and is now one of the most popular calendar apps around the world.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘With Google Calendar, you can quickly schedule meetings and events and get reminders about upcoming activities, so you always know what\u2019s next,’ Google explained.<\/p>\n ‘Calendar is designed for teams, so it\u2019s easy to share your schedule with others and create multiple calendars that you and your team can use together.’<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MailOnline tried to access the app, and was met with an error message reading: ‘There was an error.
