Lorraine: Emmerdale's Jacob fights for his life<\/h3>\n

Emmerdale fans have been theorising about David Metcalfe’s (played by Matthew Wolfenden) exit from the beloved soap after almost two decades.<\/p>\n

They believe his ex Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins) drives him out of the Yorkshire Dales when her secret lover is exposed.<\/p>\n

Victoria has been getting messages from a mystery person, leading some fans to believe they are from Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant).<\/p>\n

While David is not Jacob’s biological father, the latter has always referred to his former stepdad as his dad.<\/p>\n

Victoria and David may no longer be an item, he might be left feeling hurt if Jacob and his ex are getting cosy.<\/p>\n

One Twitter user penned: “It’s probably Jacob who’s texting Victoria.”<\/p>\n

Another wrote: “I think someone has a crush on Victoria….his Dad’s ex……#emmerdale.” (sic)<\/p>\n

It comes after Jacob actor Joe teased a romance storyline for his character.<\/p>\n

He told The Sun: “I think there’s possibly going to be a romance on the cards. It’s been a while since he’s had a girlfriend so it’s due.<\/p>\n

“He’ll be sticking with his university work and wants to become that doctor, so he’s focusing on that.<\/p>\n

“He’s just trying to enjoy life, he’s been cooped up for too long playing video games so he’s going to get out and explore some relationships.”<\/p>\n

Is Victoria the person who has fallen for on the ITV soap or is it another woman entirely?<\/p>\n

Victoria was left mortified when she realised she was responsible for Jacob’s allergic reaction on Monday evening.<\/p>\n

She rushed to the hospital to apologise to his mother and David and hoped he would pull through with medical support.<\/p>\n

David is set to leave the soap in upcoming scenes and has teased it is linked to Victoria – so have fans rumbled the truth already?<\/p>\n
