<\/p>\nMaisie Smith hit back after trolls slated her make-up free look on Instagram.<\/p>\n
The EastEnders beauty, 22, was hit with negative comments after posting snaps on Instagram that showed her looking fresh-faced and natural. <\/p>\n
The former Strictly star laid herself bare before dolling herself up with makeup in a get-ready style clip.<\/p>\n

One critic said the star looked \u201crough" with a bare face and others pointed out how different she looked, with one troll suggesting the change was \u201cscary\u201d.<\/p>\n
Another said the star was \u201conly fit" when she was "drowned in make-up\u201d.<\/p>\n

However, the actress didn\u2019t take it lying down, posting a defiant response on her Instagram Story.<\/p>\n
Sharing a screenshot of some of the abuse she\u2019d received, Maisie defiantly wrote: \u201cImagine trying to overcome your insecurities and accept your differences when people are out here casually calling you ugly.<\/p>\n
"The pressure we are under to all look the same is so unhealthy.\u201d<\/p>\n
"I am who I am and you don't have to like it, but I do,\u201d added the star, who is in a relationship with The Wanted\u2019s Max George.<\/p>\n

Many of the star\u2019s fans weighed in after her comment to say how \u201cbeautiful\u201d she looked.<\/p>\n
Others told Maisie, who is best known for playing Albert Square's Tiffany Butcher, that she should just \u201cignore the haters\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy in this day and age do we STILL constantly feel the need to be so hateful," asked one.<\/p>\n

"You do realise that she is a young, actual person, suffering the same insecurities as the rest of us but just in the limelight for many more people to see.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cYou are a beautiful young lady enjoying a really wonderful life, those keyboard trolls haven\u2019t got a 1\/4 of what you have,\u201d remarked another.<\/p>\n
\u201cIgnore them horrible comments, it is only a reflection of bad people and jealousy – you are beautiful and we all know it,\u201d said another admirer.<\/p>\n
