An ice cream man was arrested for being more twice over the drink drive limit after he was stopped for driving without a seatbelt.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mariusz Kekus, 40, of Mascroft Road, Trowbridge, was stopped in Hopton Industrial Estate in Devizes, Wiltshire, before being breathalysed on the roadside.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The roadside breath test revealed the van driver had 90mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath – a rate that is more than twice the UK’s current limit.\u00a0<\/p>\n
UK laws make it illegal for drivers to be in control of a vehicle with more than 35mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kekus was\u00a0charged with drink driving and driving whilst not wearing a seatbelt and will appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 29.<\/p>\n

Wiltshire Police stopped an ice cream man for driving without a seatbelt before realising he was twice over the drink drive limit<\/p>\n
Wiltshire Police later took the ice cream man into custody before joking about the incident on Twitter.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The ice cream man was later bailed and will appear in court later this month on two separate charges.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) equipped police car is shown sat stationary in the road in Devizes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
The police force’s Twitter account @WiltsSpecOps later tweeted: ‘The driver of the ice cream van was sighted in Devizes where the driver had no seatbelt on.<\/p>\n
‘On stopping the van the driver provided a roadside breath result of 90!<\/p>\n
‘The flake has been added and we are off to custody.#whiskeyWhippy.’<\/p>\n
Twitter users joked that the ice cream man should have blown a ’99’ on the roadside breathalyser test.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Thought he would of blew 99 for the bants,’ Twitter user\u00a0@moorepropgroup posted on the social media platform.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Twitter user @EvoTriCoach asked: ‘Did you have to put cones around the vehicle?’<\/p>\n
In a statement sent to MailOnline, a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: ‘A man has been charged after being stopped while driving an ice cream van in Hopton Industrial Estate, Devizes.’<\/p>\n
‘Mariusz Kekus, 40, of Mascroft Road, Trowbridge, has been charged with drink driving and driving whilst not wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n
‘He has been bailed and is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on September 29.’<\/p>\n
