Ricky Martin has launched a $20 million lawsuit against the nephew that made a series of shocking allegations against him.<\/p>\n
In July, the singer\u2019s nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, requested and was granted a restraining order after accusing his uncle of domestic violence. The nephew claimed to have been in a sexual relationship with Ricky for seven months, but that the singer became aggressive when he tried to end the situation.<\/p>\n
Dennis \u2013 who\u2019s the son of Ricky\u2019s half-sister \u2013 said he had reason to \u201cfear for his safety.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ricky\u2019s lawyers said Dennis pushed for the charges to be dropped.<\/p>\n “The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter,\u201d a statement read.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n “The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case,\u201d the attorneys continued. \u201cThis was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them.\u201d<\/p>\n Even though the case was dropped, Ricky is now taking legal action against his nephew in the form of a million-dollar lawsuit.<\/p>\n A post shared by Ricky Martin (@ricky_martin)<\/p>\n Court documents reveal the singer is claiming to have been \u201cpersecuted, besieged, harassed, stalked and extorted by a maladjusted person\u201d by Dennis. He claims his nephew harassed him online and sent him multiple messages a day.<\/p>\n Dennis also allegedly shared Ricky\u2019s private phone number on social media, and created a fake account for one of the singer\u2019s children. Ricky alleges Dennis was attempting to \u201cassassinate his reputation and integrity\u201d unless he paid him off.<\/p>\n The case remains ongoing.<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the only legal battle Ricky is facing at the moment. The \u2018Livin\u2019 La Vida Loca\u2019 crooner is being sued by his former manager, Rebecca Drucker. She alleges he subsequently refused to pay her what she was owed after stepping away from the position.<\/p>\n The talent manager says she was responsible for reviving the singer\u2019s career, helping him secure recording deals and sponsorships.
