Amy Dowden interviews Zara and Eddie
Amy Dowden made a return to the Strictly Come Dancing family on Friday night when she undertook interviewing duties for the spin-off show It Takes Two. The star was featured chatting with all the previously eliminated celebrities in advance of tonight’s final.
The dancer donned a black long-sleeved top with a white shirt under it and a short black pleated leatherette skirt. The skirt was the same one she wore at the beginning of November when she rang the bell to mark the end of her chemotherapy.
She also sported a boot as she continues to recover from a fractured foot. She had plans to return to Strictly Come Dancing but they were put on hold when she sustained the injury just days after finishing her cancer treatment.
At the time she wrote on Instagram: “Not the week I was hoping for since finishing chemo. Port out but unfortunately gained a boot for a fractured foot. Absolutely gutted and heartbroken as this means the plans for me to dance in the Strictly Ballroom this year are no longer possible. This is what has kept me going for the past few months.”
However, while she may not be able to dance she managed to squeeze in an appearance on the spin-off show It Takes Two chatting to the likes of Les Dennis, Nigel Harman, Adam Thomas, Zara McDermott, Annabel Croft, Angela Rippon, and others about their Strictly experience as they all prepared to perform again at the final.

The 33-year-old dancer has been sitting out this season of Strictly as she underwent treatment for breast cancer but she has very much remained a part of the show’s family. She has popped up sporadically throughout the run much to fans’ delight.
While Amy didn’t directly comment on her experience in the show, she was pleased with how it went as she later shared complimentary stories about her interviewing skills on the show to her Instagram stories with her 641,000 followers.
Her hair is yet to grow back following her treatment but she wore a wig while presenting.
However, she was later spotted leaving the show wearing a black turban instead of her wig. She had also changed out of her cute skirt and into a pair of jeans.
She was accompanied by fellow dancer Karen Hauer as she departed Elstree Studios.
The Strictly come Dancing Final is on BBC One at 7pm tonight.
