Coronation Street is set to explore the damage of revenge porn and the vulnerabilities of teenagers on the internet in a hard hitting storyline that will see Asha Alahan (Tanisha Gorey) fall apart when naked pictures and footage of herself are posted online.
The teenager already has body confidence issues so when Coreyappears to pay an interest in her, she is flattered but she soon regretslifting her top for him as he surreptitiously saves pictures and recordsfootage.
At Amy Barlow’s (Elle Mulvaney) party, someone gets a holdof Corey’s phone and scrolls through the pictures and before long, the intimateimages of Asha are being shared in the group chats at the party.
As they start to spread, Asha becomes aware of tension and people staring at her but it’s only when she gets home and sees for herself that pictures of herself have been uploaded online that she realises what has happened — and she’s devastated as a result
