Jade Goody's widower Jack Tweed slams Jeff Brazier's claim that she was 'too disorganised' to get smear tests that could have saved her life

JACK Tweed has slammed Jeff Brazier's claim that Jade Goody was "too disorganised" to get a smear test that could have saved her life.

The Big Brother star's widower has branded Jeff's comments "a lie" after he said "forgetfulness or fear" may have stopped Jade going to a doctor sooner.

The reality star died from cervical cancer aged 27 in 2009, leaving behind her widower Jack and her two sons, Bobby and Freddy, from her relationship with Jeff.

Jeff has spoken out about the reasons why Jade may not have got help sooner, but he's come under fire from Jack.

Jack retweeted a link to the interview with Jeff in which he made the remarks and added a comment of his own.

He wrote: "Well that's a lie???"

In the interview, Jeff has opened up about why Jade might not have gone to the doctor sooner after having abnormal smear tests in the past.

He told the Daily Express: "We were no longer together when she got ill so I don't know whether it was forgetfulness or fear that prevented her from getting help sooner.

"Jade was this amazing, larger-than-life character and she had so many wonderful qualities but organisation wasn't one of them."

Jade dated Jeff from 2002 until their split in 2004, and they had two sons together.

She went on to strike up a relationship with Jack in 2006 and they married in 2009, just weeks before her death.

Jade was given a diagnosis of cervical cancer in August 2008.

It was reportedly at an advanced stage and she had surgery and chemotherapy.
