He is known for his warm presenting style and hilarious dance moves on the dance floor.
But it’s fair to say Dan Walker will be taking a break from his usual hosting duties for a while after the beloved TV presenter was knocked off his bicycle on a horrific car crash.
Recalling the terrifying moment, the former BBC Breakfast presenter admitted he’s “lucky to be alive” after the accident which has left his with some gruelling facial injuries.

As the broadcaster continues to recover with the help and support of his loving family around him, Daily Star has taken a deep dive inside his lavish Sheffield home.
When Dan isn’t hard at work in the Channel 5 studios, the famous presenter can often be found relaxing in his gorgeous home which she shares with his wife Sarah and their three children, Joe, Jessica and Susie, as well as their pet dog Winnie.
Unsurprisingly, the presenter has a football-themed home office where he often works on upcoming segments for his beloved sports show Football Focus.
The room has a giant bookcase which is filled to the brill with a wide selection of footballs as well as various other football memorabilia.
The walls in his office are painted a calming sage green which perfectly matches the overflowing cabinets which house his essential textbooks.
Despite looking calm and well-organised from the waist up, the same can’t be said for his soft brown floors which are littered with unruly cables all over the floor.
The star went on to show off his impressive football trophy which was precariously stacked on top of a washing basket and several books.
Sharing a snap of his lavish office, the star couldn’t help but show off his extensive golfing kit which is neatly tucked away in a set of large cream cupboards.
The journalist’s spacious home also boasts a tranquil living room which features a gorgeous bay window, filling the room with light all day long.
His walls are painted a soft cream paint, which was finished with an intricately painted floral design on the upper third of the walls below the crown moulding.
Their large living area also features a dramatic fireplace which features a matching cream mantlepiece that houses the family’s collection of scented candles.
To finish the room, doting dad Dan added plush light grey carpets which perfectly complimented the large light grey sofas and matching armchair which can easily seat more than five people.
While the star is taking a break from cycling out in the streets for now, that hasn’t stopped him from getting on his stationary bike at home as he shared his revised home workout online.
The TV host can be seen working up a sweat in the lavish living room in full sporting gear, complete with a pair of navy-blue Lycra bike shorts which he teamed with a sporting blue T-shirt and matching blue trainers.
In the background can be seen a large ironing board which has temporarily been used as a desk to store all his drinks for the heart-racing bike ride, as well as replenishing snacks for after his workout.
Similarly to his office, Dan’s kitchen diner features another large bookcase in it next to a floor-to-ceiling radiator as he shared a Christmas snap of his festive tree online.
Taking a step away from the enormous dining table, the room also included a cosy blue armchair beside the window which had perfectly matched the floor-length navy-blue curtains.
His walls had been painted a crisp white to contrast to the royal blue furnishings that complimented the stunning oak wood floor.
The kitchen at the Walker residence is enormous, with a huge marble kitchen island in the centre of the room enlightened by the pendant lights above it.
The space is flooded with natural light which bounces off the white marble table and matching counter tops, which compliments the light grey cabinets and matching grey bar.
At the heart of the home is the duck egg blue AGA which sits in the chimney breast and regularly warms the entire home.
Arguably, the presenter’s favourite part of the house is the spacious back garden which features a lengthy green lawn and a decked-out summer house.
Last summer, Dan shared his newfound love for the garden online, writing: “I’ve never been a gardener but today I spent hours digging, planting, moving stuff in a wheelbarrow and getting stared at by the dog… it was amazing.
“I think the lockdown has converted me into a garden person. Very thankful to have one at the moment.”
Previously, Dan has shared a snap of his stunning garden when he showed off his patio area on Instagram after using a pressure-washer to clean the space.
Stepping out of his lavish French windows, the loving husband added a spacious seating area located under an enormous gazebo at the back of the house.
During the 2020 Euros, Dan showed off his impressive seating area which he had transformed into a second living area, complete with a large projector and matching screen to ensure he could watch the game in style.

Fairy lights had been draped across the top of the gazebo, and a large coffee table had been placed in the centre to hold all the necessary snacks and beverages throughout the tense match.
He told his followers: “Pants weather for the England game but we’re trying our best.”
