Tomoaki Nagao, better known as NIGO, is teaming up with celebrated artist Brian Donnelly, aka KAWS, for a collaborative HUMAN MADE collection dubbed “KAWS MADE.” The collection, which features a range of animal-themed motifs, marks the fifth iteration of KAWS MADE and the continued synergy between the two creatives.
Items in the collection include a denim work jacket and pants, an animal-patterned coverall jacket and shirt, as well as a sweatshirt, several hoodies and a range of graphic tees. Other items include accessories like an animal-patterned bandana, a range of tote bags and a decorative pin set.
The release follows closely behind the opening of the “OTSUMO PLAZA” store in Aoyama, Tokyo, Japan — a store NIGO has opened in partnership with Japanese designer Verdy. KAWS MADE also coincides with the HUMAN MADE pop-up store set to take place in New York City starting November 11, which notably also features exclusive “NEW YORK MADE” tee shirts in white and black.
NEW YORK MADE tee shirts will be priced at $120 USD, produced in limited quantity and will only be available at the pop-up.
As for the KAWS MADE collection, it is expected to be released on November 11 via OTSUMO PLAZA as well as at the pop-up in NYC and via HUMAN MADE’s official site.
Retail prices for the release, based on its Japan drop information, range between ¥3,300 and ¥66,000 JPY or roughly $22 USD to $416 USD. However, prices may vary slightly region by region.
